The SPF Scholarship is awarded to outstanding individuals with a strong desire to be protectors of our people, community, and the country’s peace and stability.
Applicants may only apply prior to pursuing their undergraduate degrees.
Eligibility & Criteria
When can I apply?
Applicants are welcome to apply prior to pursuing their undergraduate degrees (referred to as ‘pre-university applicants’).
It is not offered as a mid-term scholarship.
Am I eligible to apply?
Applicants must:
Be a Singapore Citizen
Demonstrate Strong Leadership Qualities and Potential
Present themselves as well-rounded individuals, possessing good academic and non-academic records.
Gain entry and excel in Officer Cadet School in the SAF
What are the academic requirements?
GCE A-levels; or
International Baccalaureate; or
NUS High School Diploma; or
Polytechnic Diploma with merit; or
Other high school diploma or equivalent.
You may apply prior to receiving your final examination results. A provisional scholarship offer may be made if you are found suitable, subject to confirmation upon release of final results.
Where and what can I study?
The SPF scholarship holders may study at local or overseas universities; and choose to read from a diverse range of courses relevant to the SPF, subject to the PSC’s approval.
Value of Award
Cost of Degree
Tuition fees and other approved charges. For overseas degrees, return airfare will be provided.
Allowances
Maintenance and other allowances, including full salary and bonuses.
Development Programmes
A series of sponsored development programmes, including attachment opportunities, to prepare aspiring police officers for a life of service and leadership in the SPF.
Master’s Programme (if applicable)
Sponsorship of master’s degree (if requirements are met).

Career Pathway
The SPF Scholarship holders will be emplaced on the Public Service Leadership Programme (Home Uniform Service) where they will be given opportunities to acquire specialised knowledge and capabilities to take on key leadership positions in the Singapore Police Force.
Scholarship holders will be rotated through regular postings to acquire investigation acumen, policy conceptualisation skills, as well as command and leadership abilities. They will be involved in shaping policies to address issues on public law and order and play an integral role in protecting Singapore. As a Guardian of Law and Order, the determination to make a difference will transform the lives of many.
