The PSC Scholarship (Public Finance) aims to develop individuals in economics, finance, accountancy or related fields for Public Service leadership positions, particularly those which require strong grounding in Public Finance.
You will be placed on the Public Service Leadership Programme (PSLP) upon graduation, with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) as your parent agency.
You will gain exposure to strategic and policy work which cut across the Whole-of-Government, and functional domains in Finance, Tax, Investment, Audit, etc., through postings to MOF, the Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) and the Auditor-General’s Office (AGO).
Applicants are welcome to apply prior to pursuing their undergraduate degrees or up until the penultimate year of their undergraduate degrees.

Applicants are welcome to apply prior to pursuing their undergraduate degrees (referred to as ‘pre-university applicants’) or up until the penultimate year of their undergraduate degrees (referred to as ‘mid-term applicants’)

Where and what can I study?
The PSC Scholarship (Public Finance) is tenable for local or overseas studies. The courses of study supported under the scholarship include recommended disciplines such as Accounting, Analytics, Business, Business Administration, Business Management, Economics, and Finance.
Value of Award
Cost of Degree
Tuition fees and other approved charges. For overseas degrees, return airfare will be provided. For mid-term candidates, tuition and other compulsory fees incurred before the award will be back paid.
Allowances
Maintenance and other allowances. For mid-term candidates, allowances will only be paid from the point of award.
Development Programmes
Scholarship holders will be offered development programmes, including internship opportunities, from both the PSC and their parent agency. They will also receive close mentorship, including guidance on their career development.
Master’s Programme (if applicable)
Sponsorship of master’s degree (if requirements are met).

Career Pathway
Upon graduation, scholarship holders will be emplaced on the Public Service Leadership Programme. You will embark on an enriching career journey with stints at AGD (1 year), AGO (1 year), and MOF (2 years), gaining Whole-of-Government exposure while deepening your finance and audit expertise.
Subsequently, you may be posted to different ministries to broaden your policy perspectives beyond Finance.
