2012 Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship Award Ceremony

3 candidates have been awarded the 2012 Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship.
The Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship was set up in 1991 by the Tanjong Pagar Citizens’ Consultative Committee with generous funding from the public, to commemorate the contributions made by Mr Lee Kuan Yew to Singapore. This year, it has been awarded to three young people pursuing postgraduate studies in music and business management:
Mr Wong Kah Chun - Pursuing 2-year Master of Music in Orchestral Conducting, Hanns Eisler Hochschule for Music, Germany
DAC Moh Tser Loong Alvin - Pursuing 1-year Master of Science in Management, Stanford University, USA
LTC Neo Chin Wee David - Pursuing 1-year Master of Business Administration, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA
Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship applicants must be Singapore citizens, have outstanding academic records, demonstrate leadership qualities and be active in social or community service or sports. Outstanding Singaporeans can pursue postgraduate studies overseas or locally to develop their potential as leaders in their respective fields. There are no restrictions on the course of study.
While there is no bond associated with the scholarship, Lee Kuan Yew Scholarship holders are expected to actively contribute towards the betterment of Singapore, Singaporeans and the community.
