Member, Public Service Commission

Mr Edward D'Silva was appointed as a Member of the Public Service Commission in January 2007.


An architect by profession, Mr D'Silva is the Senior Advisor of SAA Architects Pte Ltd. 


Currently, Mr D'Silva is the Chairman of the Public Hygiene Council; Singapore Youth Award Panel (NYC), the Publications Consultative Panel (MDA) and the Seniors Committee/ Councillor for Central Community Development Council. Mr D'Silva is also a member of the Liquor Appeals Board; Strata Titles Board; NUS Alumni Advisory Board, Singapore Anglican Community Services; Assisi Hospice; Films Consultative Panel (MDA) and Singapore Medical Council Complaints Panel. 


He sits on the Board of Directors of the Singapore Dance Theatre and NIE International Pte Ltd, and is also a volunteer and Director for the Prisons Fellowship Service. Mr D'Silva is also a Justice of the Peace as well as Visiting Justice and Trustee of the Eurasian Association. 


He was a member of the NUS Board of Trustees; Presidential Council of Advisors for Religious Harmony; National Institute of Education; English Language Institute of Singapore; Board of Architects; North Light School Board; National Integration Council and Chairman of Construction I.T. Committee. 


His other key positions held include President of the Singapore Institute of Architects; the Eurasian Association and Republic of Singapore Flying Club.


Mr D'Silva was awarded the PSB Distinguished Award 2001; the CDC (Central) Long Service Award 2013; the Public Service Medal (PBM - 2014); the MND Dedicated Service Award 2015; the NUS Distinguished Alumni Service Award 2015 and the Singapore Prison Service (Volunteer) Long Service Award 2016.
