The Foreign Service Scholarship offers you a headstart in developing your career as a Foreign Service Officer. While abroad, you will be mentored by diplomats in our overseas missions who can offer you support and guidance. Our scholars also undergo development programmes during their studies and throughout their career. With opportunities to do internships in Singapore HQ and our 50 missions worldwide, you will gain early insights into the workings of diplomacy.

To be an FSO, you must have a keen interest in public diplomacy and a good grasp of world affairs. You need to be able to persuade and assert, as well as build and sustain relationships. We seek people who are versatile, mentally resilient, and ready to adapt to and thrive in different environments.
