Details:
In partnership with the Accountant-General’s Department (AGD) and Auditor-General’s Office (AGO), the PSC Scholarship (Public Finance) aims to develop individuals trained in Accountancy for leadership positions in the finance sector of the Public Service. Scholarship holders will be assigned a parent agency, either AGD or AGO, if offered the PSC Scholarship (Public Finance).
Scholarship holders will be offered developmental programmes, including internship opportunities, from both the PSC and their parent agency. They will also receive close mentorship, including guidance on their career development. For more information, you may refer to the PSC Scholarship (Public Finance) Brochure here.
Career progression:
Upon graduation, scholarship holders will be emplaced on a specialised career track of the Public Service Leadership Programme (PSLP), where they will deepen their expertise in jobs at their parent agency (either AGD or AGO) for at least 2 years.
Scholarship holders will also have the opportunity to be posted to other agencies to gain broader perspectives on the other functions of public finance.
Suitable candidates may be emplaced on the PSLP (Sectoral Phase) at the end of their first posting, subject to their parent agency’s assessment and agreement.
