ELIGIBILITY

Applicants must:
  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is willing to take up Singapore Citizenship
  • Have strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Have good academic and Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) records
  • Have GCE A Levels, polytechnic diploma with merit or equivalent qualifications e.g. International Baccalaureate or high school diploma, or be undertaking undergraduate studies with at least one semester of university results and not be in the final year of undergraduate study

Details:

The PSC Scholarship is for outstanding young men and women who are interested in the Public Administration pathway. Scholarship recipients will experience a wide spectrum of governance work, from policy formulation to implementation.

PSC Scholarship holders may choose from a diverse range of courses and universities for sponsored study.

To prepare scholarship holders for a career in the Public Service, there are a series of developmental programmes during their years of undergraduate study, including internship opportunities. Scholarship holders will also have the option of pursuing a fully-sponsored Master’s degree, if they fulfil the requirements.

Career Progression:

Upon graduation, scholarship holders will be emplaced on the Public Service Leadership Programme and developed for generalist or sectoral leadership positions within the Public Service. Scholarship holders will embark on their Public Service career at an appropriate ministry or statutory board depending on the Public Service’s manpower needs and their suitability for the position.

  • Sponsorship of PSC development programmes, approved student exchange programmes, summer programmes and CCAs

For undergraduate study in English-speaking countries: 6 years
For undergraduate study in non-English speaking countries: 5 years
For undergraduate study in Singapore: 4 years
