Applicants must:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen
  • Have strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Have good academic and Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) record
  • Have completed at least one year of studies in Medicine or Dentistry programmes at the National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University or Duke-NUS Medical School and not be in the final year of studies
  • Possess a strong desire to pursue a career in the public healthcare sector

Introduced in the 2017 scholarships exercise in partnership with the Ministry of Health (MOH), the PSC Scholarship (Medicine) and PSC Scholarship (Dentistry) aim to nurture and develop the next generation of leaders in the public healthcare sector.

Scholarship holders will have opportunities to participate in various developmental programmes, such as healthcare induction courses, internships at MOH, MOH Holdings and public healthcare institutions, and networking events involving key healthcare professionals. This would also include PSC developmental programmes.



  • Tuition fees and other approved charges (Tuition and compulsory fees incurred before the award will be back-paid)
  • Maintenance and other allowances (from point of scholarship award onwards)
  • Sponsorship of PSC development programmes, approved student exchange programmes, summer programmes and CCAs
