Details:

The Media Education Scholarship (MES), launched in 2003, is an initiative to nurture and develop industry leaders in the media industry. MES was further enhanced in 2012 to include industry collaboration though direct job-matching of scholars and companies, to better suit industry demands and requirements, and set a clear career path for scholars. At the end of their studies, scholars will serve a bond with the co-sponsoring company in a job role in line with their aspirations.

Another category, MES (Film) was introduced in 2013 to nurture talent keen on pursuing independent film careers. Aspiring filmmakers can opt for MES (Film) and upon completion of their studies, fulfil a two-year Service Commitment to the Singapore film industry by working on two film projects.

MES and MES (Film) scholarships are open to: Students who have completed their junior college, polytechnic or International Baccalaureate studies and are keen to pursue a full-time media or film-related degree; existing students in a media or film-related degree or post-degree course, as well as media practitioners looking to pursue a media or film-related Bachelor’s or Master’s degree - in either reputable local or foreign universities.

MES and MES (Film) scholarships offer full and mid-term scholarships for both local and overseas studies, which cover tuition and other compulsory university fees. For MES, co-sponsoring companies provide a fixed annual allowance to defray living expenses.
