You should:

  • Be a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident who is willing to take up Singapore Citizenship
  • Possess exemplary character and conduct
  • Have strong leadership qualities and potential
  • Have good Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) and/or other academic/ non-academic records
  • Achieve good academic standing in the GCE A Levels, polytechnic diploma with merit or equivalent qualifications e.g. International Baccalaureate or high school diploma

Applicants should:

  • Be fulfilling the final year of studies in an education institution that offers GCE A Levels, polytechnic diploma with merit or equivalent qualifications (e.g. International Baccalaureate (IB) or high school diploma) and should apply with their preliminary examination scores; or
  • Have received the results not more than 2 years back.

For undergraduate study in non-English speaking countries (i.e. China, France, Germany, and Japan): 5 years
