  • Be a current nursing student in local educational institution (NYP, NP, NUS or SIT)
  • Have a strong interest to serve in the community and possess leadership qualities

This aims to nurture the next generation of community nursing leaders. It is offered by MOH in partnership with the public healthcare institutions and community care providers, to develop nurse leaders. They will play a central role in providing care beyond the hospital into the community to better meet the needs of the population. They will need to plan, provide and coordinate services that enable patients to receive care at home and in the community.


Career Progression:

All CNS recipients will undergo a one-year development programme after graduation. The programme will comprise two six-month clinical postings.

*Existing nursing students receiving the CNS will receive full funding support, which includes tuition fees and maintenance allowance from the point of award, as well as a back payment of tuition fees (excluding maintenance allowance) from the first year of study. Pre-studies allowance and commencement award are not applicable. Bond computation for these mid-term scholarship recipients is the same as that for full-term
