Applicants must:

  • Be Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident intending to take up Singapore citizenship. 
  • Be currently pursuing an Accountancy degree at the local universities (i.e. National University of Singapore, Nanyang Technological University and Singapore Management University) and have completed at least one semester of undergraduates studies
  • Be be on track for at least a Second Upper Class Honours

AGO plays an important role in enhancing public accountability and governance in the public sector. AGO checks on the proper accounting of public monies and use of public resources through various types of audits. Our observations include system weaknesses, non-compliance with control procedures or legislation, and instances of excess, extravagance, or gross inefficiency leading to waste in the use of public funds and resources.

AGO scholars will undergo internship with AGO during the period of study.

Upon graduation, scholars will embark on a rewarding career in public sector auditing.

Comprehensive training are designed to develop the skillsets of the individuals to maximise their potential. Job rotation will be provided to expose the scholar to various types of audits undertaken by AGO across different sectors. Through the audits, the scholar can look forward to gaining in-depth knowledge of auditing and financial issues at both the entity level and whole of government level, and develop the skillsets to be a well-rounded public sector auditor.


The scholarship will cover:

  • Tuition and other compulsory fees
  • Maintenance allowance
  • Hostel allowance and pre-studies allowance
  • Additional allowances will be covered for overseas Student Exchange Programme in accordance with our scholarship policy
