IE Sing

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore is the government agency driving Singapore’s external economy. We promote international trade and spearhead the overseas growth of Singapore-based companies to grow Globally Competitive Companies.

IE attracts global commodities traders to establish their global or Asian home base in Singapore. Through our Global Company Partnership and Market Readiness Assistance, we also work with Singapore-based companies in their various stages of growth towards being globally competitive. Our global network of overseas centres in over 35 locations provides the necessary connections in many developed and emerging markets.

OUR SCHOLARSHIPS

IE Singapore offers scholarships at both overseas and local universities.

Undergraduate Scholarship

IE Singapore will sponsor your undergraduate studies from any prestigious university in the world including Singapore. Upon completion of your studies, you will work with IE
Singapore for a period of four to six years. Scholars under the overseas Undergraduate Scholarship who perform well may be given the opportunity to obtain their Master's degree.

Mid-term Scholarship

Mid-Term Scholarships are available to outstanding students currently pursuing their university education in Singapore and have completed at least two semesters of undergraduate studies. You will serve a bond of one year for every year of sponsored studies.

APPLICATION PERIOD

Early cycle application is from 1 to 31 October.
Main cycle application opens from January/February and closes 2 weeks after GCE ‘A’ level results are released.
Mid term application is from August to 31 October.

CAREERS AND DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY(S)

IE employ more than 500 employees. 30% are based overseas and represented by 30 different nationalities.

Scholars will get the opportunity to do an internship at IE Singapore including our over 35 overseas centres worldwide. Upon graduation, you will be deployed to our trade groups, industry cluster groups or customer service group. Outstanding individuals with the relevant skill sets may be selected for overseas posting for three to four years. A possible career path is for you to start off at an industry cluster before rotating to International Operations and embarking on an overseas job posting at one of our overseas centres.

Emerging Europe, Latin America & the Carribean, North America & Europe, China, Middle East & Africa, North Asia & Pacific, Southeast Asia and South Asia
You can look forward to overseas exposure beside on the job training and coaching. We have a specially designed Global Executive Programme for new hires. It includes induction briefing, modular training on international business and a visit to an overseas centre. We also promote staff learning through regular Brown Bag and Passport Series covering interesting topics on living, working and doing business overseas.
