Mr Lim was appointed as a Member of the Public Service Commission in 1997 and is currently Chairman of The Ascott Group Limited, Singapore Airshow and Events Pte Ltd and Changi Airport International Pte Ltd. His career has spanned both the public and private sectors. A former Deputy Chairman and Managing Director of Singapore Airlines and ambassador to Japan, he has held various distinguished appointments, including Chairman of the Singapore Tourism Board and Chairman of the Singapore Technologies Aerospace Ltd. Mr Lim was also named Businessman of the Year in 1986.
