Professor Lily Kong Lee Lee was appointed as a Member of the Public Service Commission in January 2009.   Prof Kong joined NUS as a lecturer in 1991 after completing her postgraduate studies at University College London.  Her research areas include the study of religion, globalisation and national identities, cultural policy and cultural economes.  Prof Kong has a large number of authored and edited books to her name, and sits on the editorial boards of numerous international journals.  Prof Kong was conferred the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2006.
