Mr Edward D'Silva was appointed as a Member of the Public Service Commission in January 2007. An Architect by profession, he is the Senior Advisor of SAA Architects Pte Ltd.  Currently, Mr D'Silva is the Past President of the Eurasian Association, Council Member of National Institute of Education, Member of Presidential Council of Advisors for Religious Harmony, Chairman of the Singapore Youth Award Panel, National Youth Council, a Board Member of the Board of Trustees, National University of Singapore, Councillor of Central Community Development Council and a Board Director of the Singapore Dance Theatre, as well as a Member of the Strata Titles Appeals Board.
